They have a lot a great content on the website but we all needed someone to create a comprehensive "manual" for these robots. Thank you again!This book not only provides great info and education to families (to use at home) but also it is an awesome companion for someone (like me) that will use mBots in a classroom or makerspace environment.There are so many good ideas for projects in this book and the best part is the mixing of easily available craft items, Lego blocks, and 3D printed parts. You start with the projects in the book and you can tinker as far as your imagination will take you....I am waiting for more books from these authors! Amazing job!

"mBot for Makers" solves a big problem for new users of the mBot Arduino educational robot kit. The book provides an organized starting point with plenty of useful how-to information. This is a well-organized and solidly illustrated guide for how to get started creating, coding and customizing mBot robots and using them to carry sensors, participate in games, measure soil moisture, or perform other tasks. For the first third of the book, you learn to use the capabilities of the program stored in memory on the mBot board. After that point, you learn how to upload new code to the onboard Arduino and impose greater control over a robot, using programs composed with the Scratch programming language. "Uploading a program is the only way to create a robot that operates without a computer on hand," the authors note. Also, the book's "Animatronics" chapter offers a selection of "projects [that focus] kids' attention on a 'simple' branch of robots that move and respond to the environment for the benefit and enjoyment of an audience." Maker skills such as fabricating small. lightweight robot bodies from cardboard also come into play in this chapter. Overall, the well-written book offers numerous opportunities for children and adults or teenagers to work together, follow directions, learn new skills, and put their imaginations to work.
